Every Coral Flowers bouquet is made to order on the day it is delivered: we buy the flowers at the London flower market that morning, one florist arranges the whole bouquet, and it goes out to you the same day. We keep no stock in the shop, so nothing sits waiting in a cold room and nothing goes to waste.
It is a slower, more deliberate way to run a florist. Here is what it looks like, step by step, and why we think it makes a difference you can see in the vase.
Early morning: the flower market
The day starts at the flower market, before most of London is awake. We buy for the orders we have — not for a shelf. Each stem is chosen for a particular bouquet: the shade of a rose, how far a peony has opened, whether the hydrangea heads are full and firm.
Buying this way means we choose by what is best that morning, not by what is on a list. If a variety isn't at its best, we don't buy it — and if that affects your order, we message you before we change a thing.
Why we keep no stock
Most florists hold flowers in a cold room for several days to be ready for whatever comes in. It is efficient, but every day in storage is a day taken off the flower's life in your home.
We work the other way round. Because we buy for each order and keep nothing in reserve:
- Your flowers arrive at the start of their vase life, not halfway through it.
- Nothing goes to waste. No unsold stems, no end-of-week bins.
- Every bouquet is genuinely made for you, rather than assembled from what happens to be left.
One florist, one bouquet
Back in the studio, each order goes to a single florist who takes it from the first stem to the final ribbon. Nothing is assembled in advance, and no bouquet is passed down a line.
That continuity matters. The person who chose the stems is the person who knows how they should sit together — which rose leads, where the hydrangea gives volume, how much space to leave so the bouquet keeps its shape as the flowers open over the next few days.
Before a bouquet is wrapped, it is conditioned: stems cut, low leaves removed, and the flowers given a long drink so they travel well. Then comes the wrapping, the ribbon and, if you have written one, your card.
Delivered across London the same day
Orders placed before 2pm are delivered across London the same day, in a delivery window you choose at checkout. Orders after the cut-off are made the next morning, from that day's market.
If you know the person's phone number but not their address, we can still deliver: add their number at checkout and we will contact them to arrange a time and place. You can read more in our guide to sending flowers without knowing the address.
What this means for you
- Fresher flowers that last longer at home — see our flower care guide to make the most of them.
- A bouquet that matches what you chose, with a message from us before any substitution.
- One point of contact. Questions go to a florist, not a call centre or a chatbot — message us on WhatsApp.
Frequently asked questions
Where do your flowers come from?
We buy at the London flower market every day. The market brings together growers from the UK, the Netherlands and further afield; we choose what is freshest and best that morning for each order.
Can I order a bouquet for tomorrow or later?
Yes. Choose your delivery date in the bag before checkout. Your bouquet will be made from that morning's market, on the day it is delivered.
What happens if a flower in my bouquet isn't available?
If a variety isn't at its best that morning, we message you before making any change, and suggest the closest alternative in the same colour and style.
